The great thing about calisthenics is that you can start working out immediately without having any equipment at all. This is exactly how I started. Working out at my home without any equipment. After a while, I wanted to do some pull-ups, and that’s when I started looking for nearby calisthenics parks.

When I was just starting working out the nearest calisthenics park was 15 minutes walk away from my home. Also, it had old equipment that was falling apart. Not quite the ideal setup for your workouts. But, I went with it and used it anyway.

A few years later two new calisthenics parks were built in the neighbourhood. The one I go to most frequently is just 5 minutes away. Now it’s a pleasure working out there. You will also see all of my videos were recorded in this park.

Calisthenics park is usually just a park intended as a children’s playground but with a few basic workout equipment pieces. Since it’s a kid’s playground, this equipment might not be ideal for adults.

However, on rare occasions, you will be able to find the calisthenics park with equipment for adults. In any case, it’s definitely better than nothing.

Now, because it’s a public park and it’s open to everyone, you may not have it for yourself only. Be patient and allow others to enjoy it too.
