5 years ago I had some serious health problems. The green drink helped me overcome this quickly and efficiently.

It turned out it’s tasty and very easy to make. Even though I already heard about green drinks and their benefits, it was only after facing some real problems did I became a complete believer.

If you haven’t tried this before, it will only take around 5 minutes to try and make your very own first green drink. So let’s jump right into it.

In most cases, we don’t eat enough leafy green vegetables. Green drinks are great as a way to add this important raw nutrient into our regular diet. So here are the main benefits of green drinks:

Ingredients

  • 1 fist of green leaves (I mostly use baby spinach)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 peeled apple (I usually eat the apple peel while I’m preparing a green drink)
  • ½ squeezed lemon (I store the other half in the fridge for the next day) or 1 squeezed lime (which tastes a little bit more sweet than lemon)
  • 2 dcl water

How To Make A Green Drink

Now, let’s see how to make two full glasses of this tasty drink. One for you, and one for your spouse or friend.

Step 1

I mostly use baby spinach that is packed already washed when I prepare my green drinks. So I just grab a fist full of leaves and throw them in the blender.

After that, peel the banana and throw it in the blender.

I’m not so skilled with the knife, so I cut the apple in half and then in half again. So, I got four pieces. This is where I use the knife and cutting board. I peel each piece and carve out the apple pits. After that, I eat the apple peel and throw the apple pieces into the blender.

Maybe you can’t see it at the moment, but your green drink is coming nicely together at this point. You are getting close to the finish line.

Step 4

Now, take the knife and cut the lemon in half. Squeeze the lemon using a citrus juicer and pour the lemon juice into the blender (this is optional – you can just squeeze the lemon with your hand instead of using a citrus juicer).

Get rid of the pits and pour the water into the blender. I use the water to prewash the citrus juicer and pour the water from the citrus juicer into the blender.

But, you can also pour the water into the blender by using the glass.

Turn on the blender and let it do its magic. Let it mix everything together for about 30 – 40 seconds. Voila – your green drink is ready.

Step 7

Prepare two 3 dcl glasses. Pour the green drink into the glasses and it’s ready to drink. It’s best to drink it when it’s fresh.

PRO TIP: Wash the tools you use as you prepare the green drink. If you let everything dry it will be harder to wash it later. You can just rinse everything you use right away using nothing but tap water. It’s also better for your health if you avoid using detergent.
